They've been taught they should always be polite, civil and forgiving, and never disagreeable, loud, or angry. Being a Good Girl is exhausting and diminishes women's intrinsic value. When personal responsibility becomes self-censure, when you believe some feelings are "unacceptable," and when you value keeping the peace over expressing your needs, then you have a problem.
