General Practice Areas:  Individual men and women, couples, families and children.  Evaluation and treatment of children and adults impacted by family transitions (separation, divorce, remarriage, blended families, family illness or death of a loved one), relationship problems, learning problems, couples counseling, marriage counseling, and addictions.  My approach addresses issues in children before they become long-term problems and empower adults to find new approaches to difficulties in their lives.  Treatment is focused on changing underlying patterns, preventing further problems and promoting positive mental health.  I am located on San Juan Island, also available for those in need on Orcas Island as well as Lopez Island, and the city of Anacortes, Washington.  I am a certified Spanish interpreter with the State of Washington to provide mental health and counseling services in my area.
