Niche SpecialtyŠ: Therapy for women seeking to create new possibilities in relationships, career, family, parenting, personal
or physical health.
Location: on first avenue, just south of Pioneer Square
General Practice Areas: I have provided adult, child and family psychotherapy for over seven years in private practice,
inpatient, outpatient, and school-based settings. My clinical focus is on depression counseling, anxiety
counseling, trauma, anger-management, relationship problems and skills, communication, and life-changes. I work with individuals,
couples and families seeking to replace feelings of frustration, helplessness, fear, isolation and sadness with feelings of clarity,
understanding, respect, love, and hope for new possibilities in their lives. My therapeutic approach is strength-based,
client-centered and supportive. I help clients identify patterns of thinking and behaving that keep them from achieving
their "highest self" by replacing "obstacles," or limiting thoughts and behaviors, with new approaches and ways
of "being in the world." I believe that an authentic, open and trusting relationship is the basis upon which genuine
growth and change can occur in therapy.

City of Paulsbo, Washington: Poulsbo is located along the shores of Liberty Bay (originally called
Dog Fish Bay), a fjord of Puget Sound. Poulsbo is located in the
northern part of Kitsap County and is 4.5 square miles in area. The
original settlers were Scandinavians who settled in Poulsbo because the
area was so similar to the fjords of Norway. The city of Poulsbo was
founded in the 1880s. When there were enough people in the area to
warrant a post office, an application was submitted to the federal
government, calling the new town Paulsbo. Because the Postmaster General
misread the writing on the application, the new town was officially
listed as Poulsbo, Washington. The City was incorporated in 1908 and
currently has a population of 7,490 residents.
The
City of Port Orchard, originally the Town of Sidney, was incorporated in 1890. Port Orchard is located on the Sinclair Inlet

the County seat for Kitsap County, with a countywide population of approximately 230,000. The City is served by a Mayor and seven
Council members and is classified as a second class City.
