Benton County, Washington is located in the south-central portion of the state of Washington. The Columbia River makes up the north, south,
and east boundaries of Benton County. In 2000, Benton County's population was 142,475. Benton County is known primarily

Kennewick is located along the southwest bank of the Columbia River, opposite Pasco and just south of the confluence of the Columbia and

City of Pasco, WA: Pasco is the county seat and the largest city in Franklin County. Pasco is one of three cities that make
up the Tri-Cities region of the state of Washington. The Tri-Cities is a mid-sized metropolitan area of approximately 230,000 people that also
includes the cities of Kennewick and Richland. A 2009 estimate puts Pasco's population at 54,490. The nearest commercial and private airport
airport is the Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco.
