Benton County, Washington is located in the south-central portion of the state of Washington. The Columbia River makes up the north, south, and east boundaries of Benton County.   In 2000, Benton County's population was 142,475.  Benton County is known primarily for agricultural products.  Over the past twenty years, the rise of viticulture (growing grapes and producing wines) and prominent wineries and tasting rooms have had a major impact on agricultural and tourism industries.

City of Richland, WA: Richland is a city in Benton County in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Washington, at the confluence of the Yakima and the Columbia Rivers.  2009 estimates put the Richland's population at 47,410.

City of Kennewick WA: Kennewick is a city in Benton County in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Washington, near the Hanford nuclear site. It is the most populous of the three cities collectively referred to as the Tri-Cities (the others being Pasco and Richland). Kennewick is located along the southwest bank of the Columbia River, opposite Pasco and just south of the confluence of the Columbia and Yakima rivers. Kennewick's population was estimated to be 67,180 in 2009.

Franklin County, Washington was formed in 1883, and is named after Benjamin Franklin.  Franklin County consists of 1,242 square miles in Eastern Washington. As of June 2009, the population of Franklin County was 72,700 -- a 47.3% increase since 2000, making Franklin County one of the fastest growing counties in the nation.

City of Pasco, WA: Pasco is the county seat and the largest city in Franklin County.  Pasco  is one of three cities that make up the Tri-Cities region of the state of Washington. The Tri-Cities is a mid-sized metropolitan area of approximately 230,000 people that also includes the cities of Kennewick and Richland.  A 2009 estimate puts Pasco's population at 54,490. The nearest commercial and private airport airport is the Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco.
