The City of Des Moines, population 29,000,is located on Puget Sound just north of Federal Way, south of Normandy Park and west of SeaTac, Washington. The area was homesteaded by a group from Des Moines, Iowa and they adopted the name but pronounce it "demoine."

The City of Normandy Park incorporated on June 8, 1953. A city government is a council-manager form of government with a professional city manager, and seven elected Council members, one of whom is selected as Mayor by the Council themselves and serves as chair of the Council.  Council members serve without pay.  Normandy Park is located on Puget Sound south of Burien, west of SeaTac, and north of Des Moines, Washington.

The City of SeaTac is 10.5 square miles in area and has a population of 25,500. It is located approximately midway between the cities of Seattle and Tacoma in the State of Washington. Sea-Tac city boundaries surround the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (approximately 3 square miles in area) which is owned and operated by the Port of Seattle.

Riverton Heights, Washington 98168, is an unincorporated but developed business & residential area under King County Washington government. It is located directly north of SeaTac International Airport and the City of SeaTac, Washington and 12 miles (19 km) south of downtown Seattle. In the 1990 census the population was 15,337.
