problem-solving approach that is time-limited (usually 12 – 18 sessions) and goal-specific. For longer term or
recurrent life problems, my approach is to provide a careful, reflective, insight-oriented therapy that identifies
both conscious and unconscious sources of current pain and conflict. In both cases the experience of trust and
safety between therapist and client is the key to effecting change.
