"Breathe, Your Life Depends on It."



Our speaker this month is Joanna White-Wolff, LMHC, MFT, Breathworker.

This experiential presentation will provide you with tools and information for your, and your clients, own improved self-care.

Breathing consciously is essential to vibrant health, spiritual centeredness and emotional and spiritual growth.  Breath means Spirit.

This training will give you practical advice and help you to learn how to detox, relax, revitalize and tap into Universal Knowledge and Love.

You will come away with an understanding of how and why this simple technique will save your life and put you on the road to a more fulfilling future.



M. Joanna White-Wolff, LMHC, MFT, Breathworker, has a private practice counseling couples and families.

Ms. White-Wolff received her MA in Couples and Family Therapy from Antioch University. Complete Conscious Breathing training by Seth Bartlett and holds sveral other professional certifications.

She started her business, Breathworks Unlimited, in 1993 and serves as its President and CEO.   Ms. White-Wolff also works at Good Sam Behavioral Health as a PASARR Evaluator.

Come meet Joanna White-Wolff and learn how to use this empowering technique to alter your mood state.

Pierce County Counselors Association

The Pierce County Counselors Association meets the third Friday of every month (except July, August and December). We are dedicated to fostering community, building alliances and providing resources for Pierce County’s mental health and allied professionals.

January 18, 2008:  Review the bylaws draft. 

February 15, 2008:  An Introduction to Parent/Child Interaction Therapy

March 21, 2008: Co-Occurring Disorders: Understanding the relationship between mental health and chemical dependency issues.

April 18, 2008: Coping with Vicarious Trauma by Melody George, MSW.

May 16, 2008 Second Half of Life-Stepping Into New Visions by Margaret Ann Schmidt, LMHC.

June 20, 2008 Breathe; Your Life Depends On It! by Joanna White-Wolff, LMHC.

September 19, 2008:  Ethics Training--first annual, extended (three hour)
Professional Development Program on Ethics.  (Meets licensure requirements for 3 CEUs of Ethics.)

The Benefits for Members

Some of the benefits of membership in the Pierce County Counselors Association:

 o  Membership in a local professional counseling organization
 o  Monthly opportunities to earn continuing education units (CEUs).
 o  Learn about mental health services and resources in our community.
 o  Engage in ongoing professional development with other members.
 o  Network with other professionals in our community.
 o  Provide mutual support to other counseling professionals.
 o  Participate in a forum for active communication regarding counseling.
 o  Help inform and educate the general public concerning the counseling referral,
assessment, and treatment processes.
 o  Advance high ethical standards of professional conduct in counseling.

PCCA Membership Categories and Dues

 o  Professional: State licensed Mental Health Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists,
Clinical Social Workers, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurses or Psychiatric
Nurse Practitioners. $25.00
 o  Associate: Any Registered Counselor, any state-qualified Chemical Dependency Counselor;
or any professional who works in an activity, program or business related to mental health.
$25.00
 o  Student/Retired: Any graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree or higher in any field of
mental health or any retired mental health professional. $12.50
 To join PCCA, please  print out the application form,  complete it, and send it with your check to the address on the application form or bring it to our next meeting.
The Meeting Fee for non-members is $10.00.
