A therapy group for those who are going through a break-up and would like to learn useful tools for moving forward. Discussion of relationship problems, low self esteem, loss and grief, and other changes in your life. Group meets weekly. Cost $30 per group.

Grief Group -- Transformational Grief
A weekly group for those who are struggling from the loss or death of a loved one.
Group facilitated by Marian Maynard, MA, LMFT, Certificate of Completion in Grief Counseling and Thanatology. Cost $35 per person per group.
Who should attend? Those who still feel the pain and deep sense of loss, experience feelings of guilt or responsibility, or are otherwise deeply troubled by the death of a father, mother, brother, sister, daughter, son, friend or other loved one.

A six-part class series offering on-going rotating schedule of skill building for step families, blended families, and parenting of any configuration. Topics include: communication skills, problem solving, conflict resolution and anger management. Cost $35 per person per group.

Federal Way, WashingtonA weekly, on-going group for adult women in recovery from substance abuse and addiction, women who have grown up with parental drinking or drug addiction or with emotional, verbal, physical or sexual abuse. Difficulty asking for what you want or saying "No" while getting along with others? Overcome low self-esteem. Be more assertive—less passive and less aggressive by exploring issues such as setting limits, working with an Assertiveness Model, values clarification, how to handle anger and rejection and how to respond to internal and external criticism. Information, interactive role plays and processing with simple art materials are used in a way that reinforces and empowers you to use new skills. Decision-Making workshops also offered.

Teardrops: A Grief Group for Kids--Seattle, WA. ongoing and continuous weekly children's group.
A group for children ages 8 to 12 who are grieving a loss in their lives. Boys and girls grieve many losses in their lives. A child may grieve the loss of a school, a friend or a neighbor when parents move to a new home or city. Children may grieve the loss of a grandparent, a parent or a pet through death or divorce, and often grieve losses that a parent never realized were important or significant. Symptoms might include profound silence, sadness, anxiety, depression, age regression (in terms of behavior), anger, resentment or faked happiness.

Reclaiming Your Life as "Motherless Daughters" --Women who have lost their mothers to death at any age--Seattle, WA. an ongoing and continuous weekly women's group.
The death of a woman's mother can have lasting effects. She has lost her feminine role model for becoming a woman wife and mother. Key events in life or reaching life stages--puberty, marriage, childbirth--can trigger apprehension, anxiety or depression. One may experience fear of death or dying as one approaches the age of mother's death, grieving a mother's death, or otherwise dealing with death of a mother all over again. The group learns to deal with feelings, complete the grief process, and find alternative sources of life guidance.
