WAEYC = Washington Association for the
Education of Young Children, the Washington State
affiliate of NAEYC, the nation's largest organization dedicated to
improving the quality and accessibility of early care and education
programs for children from birth to eight years of age. WAEYC is
comprised of nearly 2,000 members in local affiliate chapters
throughout the state.
WAMI =
Washington Advocates for the Mentally Ill
addresses the unmet needs of individuals with
mental illness and their families through advocacy, self help and

WAMFT =
Washington Association for Marriage and Family Therapy
WaProCA = Washington Professional Counselors
Association. In September 2006, registered counselors
began meeting and organizing in order to respond to the proposed
legislation intended to eliminate registered counselors in
Washington State. They incorporated, hired a lobbyist, and managed
to defeat the bill in 2007.
WASC = Western
Association of Schools and Colleges, a regional
accrediting association for American Samoa, California, Guam,
Hawaii, and the Trust Territory of the Pacific.

Washington Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling.
This is one of the six divisions of WCA.

Washington Assessment of Student Learning,
standard tests administered to fourth, seventh and 10th graders in
Washington State.

an acronym for working with clients
presenting with sexual addiction. Each letter corresponds with one of
the diagnostic criteria for sexual addiction. W--Withdrawal,
A--Adverse Consequences, S--Inability to Stop,
T--Tolerance or Intensity, E--Escape, Time (in two
time domains) 1. Time Spent (preparing, engaging, or recovering), 2.
